Contact: hello@casinoscout.co
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through casinoscout.co and complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec’s Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Law 25), and applicable Canadian provincial privacy laws.
2. What data we collect
Analytics data (collected automatically)
When you visit our site, Google Analytics 4 may collect the following if you consent to analytics cookies:
- Pages visited, time on page, bounce rate
- Approximate geographic location (country/city level only — not precise location)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Traffic source (how you found us)
- Anonymised IP address
This data is collected only after you accept analytics cookies via our cookie consent banner. If you decline or ignore the banner, only anonymised, non-identifying data is sent to Google with analytics storage disabled (via Google Consent Mode v2).
Newsletter data (collected if you subscribe)
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use this solely to send you casino bonus updates and related content. We do not share your email with third parties for marketing purposes.
Language preference
We store your language preference (English or French) in your browser’s localStorage. This is a technical necessity, not tracking — it is not transmitted to any server and is not linked to your identity.
Data we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or payment information
- We do not collect data about your gambling activity or financial situation
- We do not build individual user profiles
- We do not use third-party advertising networks
3. How we use your data
- Analytics data: To understand how visitors use our site so we can improve our content and user experience. We use aggregated, anonymised data only.
- Newsletter data: To send you casino bonus alerts and updates you subscribed to. Each email includes an unsubscribe link.
- We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Our legal basis for processing analytics data is your consent (via the cookie banner). Our legal basis for processing newsletter data is your express consent at subscription.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use the following cookies and local storage:
- _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics 4): Analytics cookies. Set only if you consent. Used to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. Expires after 2 years.
- cs_lang (localStorage): Stores your language preference (EN or FR). Not a cookie — never transmitted to our servers.
- cs_cookie_consent (localStorage): Stores your cookie consent choice. Not transmitted to any server.
You can withdraw your cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser’s localStorage for casinoscout.co, or by contacting us at hello@casinoscout.co.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies.
5. Third-party services
We use a limited number of third-party services:
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics. Data processed under Google’s Privacy Policy. GA4 is configured with IP anonymisation and Consent Mode v2. Google Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare Pages — website hosting and CDN. Cloudflare may process server access logs. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
Our site contains links to casino operator websites. Once you leave casinoscout.co, their privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for the data practices of linked sites.

- Right to correction: You can ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Right to erasure: You can request deletion of your personal information (e.g. your email from our newsletter list).

7. Data retention

8. Security
Our site is served over HTTPS. We do not store sensitive personal data on our own servers. We do not collect payment information. The limited data we hold (newsletter emails) is stored with industry-standard security measures.
