CasinoScout is a free resource for Canadian players. We fund this resource through affiliate marketing — when you click a "Claim Bonus" or "Visit Casino" button on our site and subsequently create an account and make a deposit, we receive a commission payment from the casino operator.
This commission is paid by the casino from its own revenue. You do not pay anything extra, and the bonus or terms you receive are identical to what you would get by visiting the casino directly. In many cases, we negotiate exclusive or enhanced offers for CasinoScout visitors.
The direct answer: they do not affect our rankings.
Our rankings are based entirely on our testing results across eight criteria: licence verification, deposit testing, withdrawal timing, bonus term analysis, provincial availability, game library quality, customer support responsiveness and complaint history monitoring. We have active affiliate relationships with all six casinos in our current top 6. Our #1 ranked casino (BitStarz) is ranked first because it consistently performed best in our withdrawal speed tests — not because it pays the highest commission rate.
We have, on previous occasions, removed casinos from our rankings despite active affiliate relationships when those casinos failed our testing criteria or accumulated unresolved player complaints. We do not give casinos prior warning when this happens.
