How CasinoScout earns revenue, and how it affects — and does not affect — our editorial content.

What is affiliate marketing?

CasinoScout is an affiliate website. This means we earn a commission when a reader clicks a link on our site and subsequently signs up or deposits at an online casino. The commission is paid to us by the casino operator — it does not cost you anything extra, and it does not reduce your bonus or change your terms with the casino in any way.

This is a standard commercial arrangement used by comparison and review sites across many industries, including finance, travel, insurance and retail. It allows us to provide free editorial content to readers while generating revenue through referrals.

How commissions work

We operate primarily under two commission models:

• Revenue share: We receive a percentage of the net revenue generated by players we refer to a casino, typically between 25% and 45%. This is paid on an ongoing basis for as long as the referred player remains active.
• CPA (Cost Per Acquisition): We receive a fixed payment when a referred player makes their first qualifying deposit. CPA rates typically range from €50 to €300 per qualifying player.

Commission rates vary between casino programs and are subject to change. The specific commission we earn from any given casino is confidential between CasinoScout and the operator.

How this does NOT affect our editorial content

Our editorial rankings and review scores are determined independently of commercial relationships. Specifically:

• Casinos are ranked by their editorial scores, not by commission rates. A casino that pays us a higher commission does not receive a higher ranking.
• Reviewers do not have access to commission rate information when writing reviews or assigning scores.
• Casinos that fail our eligibility criteria — including licence verification, Interac testing and responsible gambling standards — are not listed on the site regardless of whether they offer affiliate partnerships.
• We have declined affiliate partnerships with casinos that did not meet our editorial standards. In such cases, the casino may still appear in our content with a note that we do not currently have an affiliate relationship with them.
• Casino operators have no ability to review, edit or approve content before publication.

How to identify affiliate links

On CasinoScout, all "Claim Bonus" and "Visit Casino" buttons link to casino websites through affiliate tracking links. These links contain a unique identifier that tells the casino that a visitor came from CasinoScout. The links work identically to direct links — you receive the same bonus and the same terms either way.

In line with FTC guidelines and ASA requirements, we disclose our affiliate relationships on every page that contains affiliate links, including in the site footer and in this dedicated disclosure page.

Casinos with no current affiliate relationship

Occasionally, CasinoScout may include information about a casino with which we do not currently have an affiliate relationship. In such cases, links to that casino are not affiliate links and we earn no commission from referrals. These inclusions are made on editorial merit only.
